Joseph Kevin Etling

Mr. Etling represented me when I was charged with a felony in Terre Haute. Thankfully, he was able to navigate me through the process and facilitated a plea deal for a misdemeanor. Given the circumstances of my case, I believe Mr. Etling was able to procure the best legal outcome for me. That is, ...barring a dismissal or a pre-trial diversion, both of which were not really in the cards for me. My critique with Mr. Etling is that he was difficult to work with. At times he was condescending and rude. He was always quick to respond via telephone, but oftentimes he sounded very annoyed, and without good reason. I did not demand much of his time and my questions were not asinine. I imagine his gruff demeanor may be very useful when confronting/questioning witnesses against his clients, but it's inappropriate when speaking with the person who paid a lot of money for representation. All in all, I would still recommend Mr. Etling. The primary reason I chose him was due to referrals from others who spoke to his high regard in the legal community in Terre Haute. He obtained a good outcome in very serious matter for me. I wish he would have displayed better interpersonal skills during our interactions.
