EXPERIENCED. KNOWLEGEABLE, RELIABLE, HONEST, FORTHRIGHT, REALLY LISTENS, POSSESSES LOTS OF PATIENCE, WILL DO RIGHT BY HIS CLIENT
I recommend Ray Druley without reservation. Initially, there were 2 separate matters I brought to him, which he accepted. I found him to be honest & forthright. While I may not like what he’s told me, I’ve never had any reason to he’s had anything less than my best interest at heart. He style is distinctly modest. I’ve found him to be a true gentleman, with a great deal of experience. He’s methodical but can at times come across as a bit absent minded, which makes it very easy to underestimate his acumen. He has a fax number & an email account. I frequently emailed him questions & inquiries. He usually responded the same day – never more than a couple of days. Even though I initially had trouble communicating with him succinctly, which I know didn’t make his job very easy, he did really listen to me. He then proceeded on a course of action he felt was best. As I became better able to communicate my goals in the matter, he gained a more detailed understanding of what I wanted. Since he couldn’t read my mind, I learned to speak up or put my thoughts in writing & give them to him. When he had questions, he didn’t hesitate to ask me. When I asked him to represent me in some related matters, he was up front & honest telling me it wasn’t one of his areas of expertise. I appreciated his candor. I was impatient & had unrealistic, unreasonable expectations. Using examples he taught me some matters take time to be resolved – often a lot more time. Knowing what I wanted wasn’t going to be possible, he presented me with an alternate solution I hadn’t considered & finally, albeit reluctantly ended up accepting. There’s a reason Ray goes about doing things a certain way. Whenever I was puzzled, unsure or upset about how things were or were not going, all I had to do was ask for an explanation. He never came across as being offended & he would tell me why or why not he was doing something. His mind is filled with such a large amount of information he often knew what he meant while I did not. He was entirely open to hearing me out. He took a great deal of time making absolutely certain I understood what I wanted was nearly impossible & to make sure I didn’t do anything to incur any additional negative consequences. I appreciate that he cared enough to do this for me. It was especially refreshing that Ray doesn’t have a I know better than you attitude nor does he does he have any air of superiority. He is very much a down-to-earth person who treats others with respect. Those were the keys allowing me to have a good relationship with him. Because he took time to get to know me as a person, he understood me & why I was so vehement in what I believed & why I wanted to proceed to the bitter end. I realize now I was tilting at windmills. He spent a great deal of time & effort getting me to see things realistically & not idealistically. Although I was not happy with how my case was resolved, I’m convinced Ray’s negotiations resulted in the best solution under the circumstances. Had I insisted upon having my way, the consequences might very well have devastated me to such an extent I would have never recovered from the experience. He allowed me to rail against what I perceived as the injustice of the matter. He exhibited great patience with me & although he was empathetic, he made it a point to explain to me in no uncertain terms the reality of how such matters often resolve, which would not have been in my best interests. I felt his fees were quite reasonable. However, I suggest one should inquire as to what they might be. Ray’s fees had a low & a high end range that were dependent upon the time, energy & effort he felt he would need to put into the job. I don’t know if he offers clients the option of paying by the hour. If that’s an issue, ask him about it. My experience with Ray Druley was so positive, I intend to do more business with him.
