I hired Ms. Wilson for a PO hearing against my abusive (then) husband, which later turned into a divorce. I was the one paying her, yet she seemed to be on HIS side! For example, when he violated the PO, she insisted I could NOT call the police. She never ordered discovery, insisting that we had m...ore debt than assets, so to sign a paper giving everything to him and accept $500 per month for 3 years only. I am 55, disabled, and unable to work; how could I survive on that? I fired her and my new attorneys immediately ordered discovery, finding over 1.5 million in assets. She did much more against me, such as accepting court orders on my behalf without my prior approval or knowledge, accepting things I did not want to accept on my behalf. I am not happy with how she did NOT represent me to MY best interests but instead to my ex's. When I spoke with her after the divorce was final, I asked her why she never ordered discovery. She told me that she doesn't order discovery until after mediation. How can you divide the assets in mediation when you don't know what assets are present? She later refused to refund the money I had paid her. If I had not fired her, I would now be disabled, homeless, and living in my car with little money while my ex walked away with nearly 1.6 million in assets. I absolutely do NOT recommend this attorney.
