Scott Andrews grew up in the northern part of Bartholomew County, near St. Louis Crossing. He received his elementary education from St. Peter’s Lutheran School, and earned his high school diploma from Columbus East High School in 1993. Scott obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University in 1997, where he received an award for Outstanding Contribution to the School of Liberal Arts. He earned his law degree in 2000 from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, NJ.
Upon graduation from law school, Scott clerked for the Honorable William R. Sawyer, Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Alabama. In January 2002, Scott returned to Bartholomew County and accepted a position as a deputy prosecutor with the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s office. In August of 2003, Scott accepted a position as an associate attorney with the Indianapolis law firm of Rubin & Levin, P.C.
Returning to practice in his hometown, in January 2005 Scott joined the firm of Coriden Law Office until 2010 when he then became partner of Coriden Coriden Andrews & Glover, LLC. Scott served as a Bartholomew County Public Defender for Superior Court 1 from January 2014 through January 2016. In January 2016, Scott branched out on his own and started Andrews Law Office, LLC. His current practice concentrates on business and corporate law, estate planning and administration, collections, and general litigation. He currently represents, among others, the Flatrock-Hawcreek School Board of Trustees, the Town of Hope, the Town of Clifford and the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Merit Board. He has also been appointed on multiple ocassions to serve as a pro tem judge within Bartholomew County. Since 2019, Scott also serves as the part-time deputy prosecutor assigned to the Bartholomew County Adult Drug Recovery Court.
Scott has an expressed passion for community service and involvment. He is a former Board member of the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department, the Board of Directors for Family Service, Inc., the Board of Directors for the Columbus Parks Foundation, the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Youth, and the School Ministry Board at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lakeview Ministries and the Board of Directors for the Fireman's Cheer Fund.
Scott has 3 children, twin daughers Kate & Brenna and Maggie Andrews. Scott is the grandson of the late Thomas Andrews and Evelyn Andrews, the son of Gary and Markel Andrews and has one brother, the late Steve Andrews. Scott is also a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church here in Columbus.
