Qualified representation in town

I retained Jonathan Leachman at Fifer Law Office to represent me in a high-conflict family law matter spanning years of prior litigation. What distinguished his representation was not simply the outcome, but the process. Mr. Leachman consistently centered the facts and the law—not opinion or press...ure. Throughout our engagement, he presented options with clarity about what would strengthen or weaken my position. He treated me as the principal in my own case, not as someone to be managed or told what to do. That distinction matters profoundly. In complex litigation, especially family law, the relationship between attorney and client determines whether you feel like an active participant or a passenger. I felt like a participant. My questions were answered directly. My concerns were heard and weighed on their merits. When financial and strategic considerations came into tension, the strategy never took a backseat to billing concerns—a practice that is rarer than it should be. Beyond the legal work itself, the office operated with genuine professionalism. Calls and emails were answered promptly. The environment was welcoming and respectful—the kind of place where you feel heard and valued, not intimidated or out of place. That matters when you're navigating difficult circumstances. After a long and difficult legal journey, I was well-guided by someone who understood that my role was to get the facts straight and stand on them. Mr. Leachman provided the legal guidance to do that effectively. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone facing similar circumstances.

Highly recommended!

Jonathan is a great lawyer. Very up-front and honest. He works very hard for his clients. He worked on a child support issue for me and, since these cases don't ever go away, I will probably use him again.:-) I would recommend him to anyone in need of a family law attorney.

Personable Gentleman

He listened to what I wanted to do, explained what the law would allow but did his best to comply with my wishes to the best of his ability.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
