Great lawyer and person!

When I was asking around for an family law attorney one name kept coming up. It was Rex Patterson and for good reason! When I met with Rex for a consultation I knew he was the right man to represent my kids and myself. He’s went above and beyond my expectations and delivered a great outcome for my fa...mily. “Relentless Pursuit” is his motto on the wall, well it doesn’t stop at the wall!! Rex is a Lion in the courtroom as well! He and his staff are dedicated to helping their client get the representation they deserve. Rex was organized, detailed and very knowledgeable of the law. Big Win for a Custody Modification from 50/50 to Sole Legal and Primary Physcial to the Mother

I hired Rex after completing a stressful year of a 50/50, no child support, custody arrangement with my ex-husband that had been reached while I was working with a different lawyer. I was very unhappy with what my previous lawyer had done and felt she put me in a bad situation that was allowing my ex...-husband to continue to control and manipulate me via our children. My ex-husband is a covert narcissist and had used the children against me our entire relationship and even more so following the ending of that relationship. I was nervous hiring another lawyer to try to revise the custody agreement because the first lawyer had claimed to have experience going against abusive men, but she fell far short of my expectations and could not actually handle the situation. After a phone consultation with Rex, I felt more confident that a new lawyer could help me. Like Rex pointed out, I definitely could not continue with the agreement as is, as it was not working. It was only a day after that consultation that I contacted Rex's office again to hire him and move forward. I was very impressed with Rex's office staff. The women are amazing, supportive, and have a lot of experience. I was often very stressed and anxious throughout the duration of the case and they were always making sure they kept me updated on things happening. They were also always willing to listen if I was stressed about something that was happening with my ex-husband or the case. His staff really helped me feel like I'm not the only person who is seeing the truth in my situation. I really needed a lawyer who was confident and who would guide me through the evidence and court process with recommendations on courses of action and I found this with Rex Patterson. I had a lot of evidence and they always let me know if they needed anything else. Rex brought my ex-husband in for a deposition, which my first attorney had never done. This deposition caught my ex-husband in several lies and was helpful to my case. Rex informed me of other evidence gathering options and his opinion on which to pursue. Rex was well prepared for court and helped me feel prepared as well. The first court appearance was continued because of my ex and his attorney. The attorney told Rex right before the time for court and Rex had the foresight to know that a continuance would upset me and so he had just himself and the other attorney talk to the judge privately and continue. This way, Rex was able to tell me court was continued in a private meeting room and no one was able to know or see how emotional and upset this made me and my parents. Then when it was time for our actual court date, things went very smooth. We had a 2 hour block and I was on the stand for the majority of that time. I felt confident once Rex started asking me questions and it was actually a relief to be able to share the truth with the court. Rex didn't even have to ask my ex-husband too many questions before he got tripped up by his own lies, which was apparent. That gave me a lot of hope that the judge would understand why I was asking him to modify the 50/50 agreement we had initially reached out of court. This is exactly what happened as the judge entered his decision pretty quickly and custody was changed to give me sole legal and primary physical custody! This is a huge relief for me and my children. The new dynamic allows me to create a schedule that actually works best for the children and not just what is best for the ex-husband. I recommend Rex Patterson whole heartedly. Rex helped me fully take back my power and the power to protect my children the way I deserve to be able to as their mother. I hope we don't have to continue to go to court on my case, but if we do, I wouldn't want anyone but Rex Patterson on my team as my lawyer. Thank you Rex!
