Bad job

He's great if you broke the law and are looking for some one to negotiate a reduced penalty. But if you didn't break the law.He didn't stand up for me even throw he told me it was not a crime it was implied consent. But it would take over a year to prove during that time I would not see my kifd.If I p...lead guilty he could get me 18 months probation and promised I could see my kids that day.Durring the deal he allowed ppp to continue on ex wife.so I could not see my kids and offered no solution to the prpblem. (Lied)some how talked the judge to allow me to explane my actions. Not illegal and still get a conviction. All had him for a probation violation. Failed to verify address.I showed him that I did he allowed the prosecutor to change the charges 4 time not showing up to app.not doing community service.not doing anger managment.not paying fines.let them set 4 flack finding court app.lasting months during had probation app once a week.each court app I brout proff I was doing what I was sopost to do.each time he tried to get me to plead guilty.18 months in jail.house aresset.extended probation.all said and done I held to my guns.and nothing happened a complete waist of time and resorses each time Richard telling me to plead guilty "we just need to get this done"

This fellow has had a series of cases and issues. He continuously raises issues that are not relevant to the case and demands action which cannot be taken. The probation violation about which he is complaining was dropped. I was appointed as public defender to represent him in the criminal case. He is upset because I did not take action in the protective order case, which is civil. Appointed counsel is ethically prohibited from representing a client in a related fee generating case. I did what was required, and attempted to explain it to him, but he continues to lash out. If there is a defense to a case, I will try the case. I do not keep track of the cases I have tried since my first jury in 1974, but I have no concern about taking a case to trial if it is appropriate. I am sorry that he is upset, but there are some folks who will never be satisfied with whatever result is achieved.

Welcoming

Mr. Muntz was the 4th of 4 lawyers I contacted regarding an APS case between a local nursing home , myself and my sister the patient. He was comforting, professional, welcoming and efficient. His fee was well within a senior citizen's budget and he handled my business within a half hour. I left his o...ffice and took a long nap - the first, carefree, restful sleep I had had in weeks. Thank you Mr. Muntz!

I highly recommend Attorney Richard Muntz.

Mr. Muntz has been with me every step of the way with divorce, custody, and a DUI case. He has been very informative, helpful, and even caring. I have and will continue to recommend his services to people I now know, and will meet in the future. I am extremely pleased with Mr. Muntz.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
