Client came to the US over ten years ago to escape the civil war in her country. She entered the US and her asylum petition was denied. She was placed in deportation proceedings. She was ordered deport ... ed twice even though she had legal representation and she was married to her United States citizen husband. My firm was the 4th law firm that she hired. Despite the court's decision not to reopen her case we were able to get her removal case reopened and obtained the approval of her permanent residence by working closely with the Government's attorneys and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. Now after 10 years of living in the US our client can finally sleep at night knowing that she will never be separated from her child.
