Thomas Melton Walz

We hired Tom Walz, Sr, in South Bend, IN to handle the probate of our father’s will. He never explained what he was going to do, how he was going to do it, how long it would take, or the estimated cost. When he filed the initial paperwork with the court, he had the wrong name for the Personal Represe...ntative. We discovered his mistake, and told him he need to refile it all. It delayed us selling my father’s house by 4 weeks. Then, he put the wrong name on the EIN filed with the IRS. We asked him to fix it, and he said it did not need to be fixed. Well, 3 months later, he still hasn’t fixed it. My two sisters and I met with him, to discuss his mistakes, and he was totally unprofessional. Told us we didn’t know what we were talking about. We ended up firing him, and he still had the nerve to send us an invoice for $4,500, and he was just over half done. We have never dealt with a bigger, more unprofessional jerk in our lives.
