Joseph Lawrence Curosh III

I came to Joseph L. Curosh III as a Chicago Police Officer and the victim of a violent, unprovoked assault. In 2011, I was blindsided from behind by Stephen Daniel Sanders, who broke my jaw so severely that it had to be wired shut for weeks. I missed months of work and endured significant physical an...d emotional trauma. I hired Curosh III and his firm because I believed they would protect my interests and help me pursue justice in the civil case. What I experienced instead was, in my view, one of the most damaging professional betrayals of my life. Throughout my case, I repeatedly felt that my matter was handled with a lack of urgency, strategy, and loyalty. As a police officer, that was deeply unsettling. In my personal experience, decisions were made that severely harmed the value of my judgment. I believe that Curosh III’s involvement with Louisiana attorney Cory Blunk contributed to the judgment being domesticated in a way that stripped it of both pre‑judgment and post‑judgment interest. This outcome, in my view, benefitted the man who injured me far more than it ever benefitted me as the victim. I have spent over $30,000 trying to repair the damage caused by how my case was handled. Meanwhile, the individual who broke my jaw has been able to move on with his life while my ability to enforce my judgment was, in my opinion, severely compromised. My experience left me feeling abandoned, misled, and deeply disappointed. As a police officer who trusted this firm during one of the most difficult periods of my life, I expected professionalism, advocacy, and loyalty. I do not believe I received that. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Joseph L. Curosh III for personal‑injury representation.
