Biography
Katie focuses her practice on representing and defending insurance companies and their insureds. She also assists clients to develop comprehensive estate plans including wills and trusts.
She has experience with business law, including work with entreprenuers, franchises, and trademark applications. During law school she assisted university students with legal problems, including landlord-tenant issues, contracts review, business startup advice, small claims, and many criminal expungements. She also interned with the Solicitor General of Indiana working on the constitutional law and high-profile cases in the Attorney General's office.
Katie earned her Juris Doctorate from IU in Bloomington in 2018 after varied legal internship experience. She worked in Franchise law with the Law Office of Josh F. Brown, then took the July 2018 Bar Exam and started Insurance Defense at the Tyra Law Firm that October. Katie volunteers her time to work with the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic doing pro bono intakes.
Katie is a Blackstone Legal Fellow. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, and the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana.
