On Friday Allegheny County Police announced a sentence handed ... down by county Common Pleas Judge Donna Jo McDaniel on Wednesday against Terry Lee Lipinski. Lipinski, 37, was found guilty of 19 felony and four misdemeanor counts including three felony counts apiece of rape by forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person younger than 16, statutory sexual assault and incest. McDaniel handed down 10- to 20-year sentences on each of the rape and IDSI counts. Two counts of aggravated indecent assault involving a complainant less than 16 years of age were withdrawn. County police said Lipinski was accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile from the age of 8 until she was 14. He was arrested June 20, 2013, after an investigation by detectives Corinne Orchowski and Jarret Kaspryszyn. A week later Lipinski was held for trial by Magisterial District Judge Robert L. Barner. County police said Assistant District Attorney Phil Hong-Barco prosecuted the case. For a year Lipinski was held in Allegheny County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond, but was released on nonmonetary bond prior to his trial. Kevin Abramovitz entered the proceedings as Lipinski's defense attorney Jan. 29. He invoked Rule 600 in seeking nominal bond for his client, citing continuances that delayed Lipinski's jury trial from Oct. 28 of last year.
