Hello, my name is Brittney A. Newland. I was born in, and currently reside in, Columbus, Indiana. I currently practice law at Voyles Zahn & Paul located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I attended the University of Evansville where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2005. Afterward, I attended Indiana State University where I obtained my Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology in 2008. In 2009, I started working as the Pretrial Release Probation Officer for Bartholomew County Court Services. In 2011, I decided to enroll in law school at Robert H. McKinney School of Law at Indiana University – Indianapolis.
I joined Voyles Zahn & Paul in 2012 as a law clerk working for Mr. James H. Voyles and Ms. Jennifer M. Lukemeyer. In addition, while in law school I served as a clerk to the Honorable Stephan Heimann, Bartholomew County Circuit Court Judge for a semester. After I was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2014 I transitioned into my current attorney role at Voyles, Zahn & Paul.
My practice focuses on criminal defense, dissolution of marriage, and adoption through out the state of Indiana. I am a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
