Ashley D. Marks is a Partner at Hankey Marks & Crider, where she has been a key member of the firm since joining in 2011. Prior to becoming an attorney, she spent two years as a Law Clerk at the firm while completing her legal education. Her primary practice areas include Social Security Disability, Long-Term Disability, Personal Injury, and ERISA litigation.
Ashley earned her Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2011. Before law school, she obtained dual bachelor’s degrees in English and Philosophy from Indiana University. During her time in law school, she interned with the Indiana University School of Medicine’s legal department, served as a board member and writer for the International Moot Court Competition, and was recognized for her excellence in legal writing, receiving the award for Top Overall Written Brief in the school’s 2010 annual competition.
Throughout her legal career, Ashley has received numerous accolades. She has been recognized as an Advocate by the American Association for Justice and was named one of the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40. She was also recognized as an Elite Lawyer for her work in disability and personal injury from 2022-2025. Additionally, she was honored as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for several consecutive years, from 2015 to 2024. Ashley remains actively involved in several professional organizations as well, including the Indiana Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, and the Advocates and Representatives for the Disabled.
Ashley is deeply committed to her clients and takes pride in her meticulous attention to detail, compassionate approach, and dedication to achieving the best outcomes. As a leader within Hankey Marks & Crider, she is passionate about serving the injured and disabled and fighting for their justice.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ashley is actively engaged in her community. She regularly represents Hankey Marks & Crider at events supporting individuals with disabilities. Personally, she volunteers at her church and local food bank, and is especially fond of participating in the Night to Shine event, which offers an extraordinary prom experience for individuals with special needs. She also serves on the board for the New Palestine Education Foundation.
In her personal life, Ashley cherishes spending time with her son and family, cheering on her favorite sports teams—the Braves, Pacers, and Colts—and staying active. She enjoys running, rock climbing, and traveling, and is a dedicated participant in local half marathons.
