Mr. Bench was awful. He made many promises and constantly had to be reminded what my case was about and what position to argue. After months of having to remind him what he is supposed to do, he sent me a bill for thousands more dollars! I asked why? I said he made phone calls. Yes, he made phone cal...ls to discuss things he was NOT SUPPOSED TO DISCUSS UNTIL THE CASE WENT TO THE NEXT COURT!! After he made this egregious mistake and apologized I paid him and demanded credit for the funds he wasted on hurting my case and forgetting to even file it. Later I got a bill again for the same amount. I asked what it was and he again said phone calls. He then told me he had informed the other party about his and my personal discussions giving them my legal strategy! You only need to share evidence! Not your clients legal strategy! And asked him for the evidence I paid for months ago to be subpoenaed and HE SAID HE FORGOT AGAIN!! At this point he told me that the case was to complicated (Other attorneys has all said this case is very simple) and told me he wasn't going to take it after all. I told him that since he didn't do a single thing I paid him for, according to our contract, and that he did everything he said would be awful for my case, that I needed a full refund to get a proper attorney. He said no, and that he was keeping the money. According to him, even though he failed to do anything he was paid to do, he believed he was entitled to my money because he.... made phone calls. WOW.
