Do not waste your time or money on this lawyer. I regret picking Vandiver to represent my brother. The amount of money that was given UPFRONT to him, and over a period of time was way more than he is worth. We were better off going with a public defender rather than this lawyer. He is very Arrogant,r...ude,he does not communicate with you throughout the case he will ignore you and ignore you until you pay more money.He DOES NOT put in as much work for your case as he says.We got the absolute worse case scenarios one could get for these cases. He was POINTLESS even having as a lawyer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY,HE IS NOT WORTH A PENNY OF IT. I think maybe this guy has been practicing law too long and needs a LOOONNGG break. I understand he's probably seen everything in his career span as an attorney but his lack of people skills and communication is just plain unacceptable. Dan Vandivier was emailed change of address information along wi...th copies of paid amounts for child support but he never updated it. This caused a lack of notification for a court date which then caused an Failure to appear. This lead to a bench warrant and then during a routine traffic stop, an arrest and detainment for almost 4 days. Then he wanted money to post to child support (which is already currently being paid) and when asked to expedite the process of getting the person out to so they could return to work (so child support can continue to be paid), he simply said "NOPE". So a problem which you initially caused, you can't hurry and fix? When asked the following day to please contact me so I'll know when the individual was going to be released....no response. I had to contact the prosecutors office to eventually get things completely straightened out. This man needs to put his license away and go do something different because if this is the way he's practicing law, Lord only knows how many other situations he's messed up along the way...

Was a very dishonest atty.....held my answered interrogatories from opposing atty on his desk for three months and didn't tell the Judge nor opposing atty...I was held in contempt and had to pay his attorney fee...told me he had filed five contempts against my ex when in fact none were filed...did no...t let me review the final decree before filing, when I did ,I objected and he reassured me he would correct...he lied..never changed it and said he did...final result.. I did not get what I deserved from this divorce because of my incompetent,negligent and lying atty.....trying to find another atty to file legal malpractice
