No one expects to get divorced when they get married, but sometimes it happens and when it does it does not have to be a battleground.  Divorce does not have to be ugly, does not have to be stressful, should not ruin you financially and most importantly, divorce does not have to harm your children or ruin the family - but all of these depend on the attorneys who get involved.

Take time to find the right attorney for you and your pocketbook.  Divorces do not have to be expensive - even in high-income and high-asset divorce cases.  Divorces become expensive when someone is unreasonable - that can be you, your spouse and/or an attorney.  YOU are the client and YOU control your case - to be able to do this you need an attorney with whom you can work closely and help you make educated decisions.  You need an attorney who will assess your situation, give you legal options to consider and an idea of the cost of those options.  Please understand that no attorney can tell you exactly how much a divorce will cost because there are simply too many factors out of the attorney's control.

I'm assessing your case based on more than 25 years working solely in family law and as a certified family law specialist (Indiana Family Law Certification Board).  I charge by the hour for legal consultations and you pay at the end of the consultation.  We can meet in person or virtually - whichever is most convenient for you.
