Highly do NOT recommend

If I could rate him a zero, I would. He did not once call me after my first call to him. This case was when I was younger in my mid 20s. My boyfriend at the time was very abusive and destructive. One night when he started to put his hands on me, I finally fought back. My Mom called the police, but I ...still ended up in trouble. I've never had a domestic violence charge before... I didn't think I could even be charged, but I was wrong. (If there is a mark on the other person and he/she says they did not hit you first, you get the charge... same if both people have marks and say the other person hit first, both get charged). Instead of helping me get it dropped, he belittled me and wanted me to do probation and said he will get the charge down to negligent assault?? I watched him represent another case down the road and did nothing to help that client either..... If you need help in Dayton, go with WAYNE STEPHAN. He actually cares about his clients well being and will do what he can to help. Christopher Deal was the absolute worst attorney I have seen by far. Do not make the same mistake as I did.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
