Biography
Attorney John M. Leahy graduated Indiana University – Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law. He is a member of the Greene County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Mr. Leahy is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
Prior to joining Peterson & Peterson, Mr. Leahy practiced law in a busy criminal defense firm in downtown Dayton, representing clients throughout the Miami Valley as well as protecting the rights of clients in United States District Court. Mr. Leahy has experience representing every degree of felony in the State of Ohio. In addition to his criminal defense experience, Mr. Leahy has vigorously protected the rights of clients in Divorce, Child Support, Child Custody, and Personal Injury. Mr. Leahy further enjoys assisting the great people of the Miami Valley in planning for their retirement and securing the future of their loved ones in the creation and maintenance of wills, guardianships, and estate administration.
Mr. Leahy currently resides in Dayton. He is an avid sports fan who prefers to spend his time away from the office on any one of the local Greene County golf courses.

Beginner level experience
Was not successful in negotiating even minor considerations in my case. I found out he was telling me one thing and telling the prosecutor something completely different. If anything he hurt my case. Beware he is NOT what he seems.
