Charles F. Hollis, III (“Chuck”) was born in Covington, Kentucky. He is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University (B.A. History & Political Science, summa cum laude), the University of Cincinnati College of Law (J.D.), and the University of Helsinki Faculty of Law (LL.M. International Law) in Finland. He has also done coursework at the State Pushkin Institute for Russian Language, and Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Mr. Hollis has been practicing law for over 15 years. He is licensed in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
Mr. Hollis is the founding member of The Hollis Law Firm, LLC. His practice focuses on a variety of fields, including: immigration, international law, trial and appellate practice, personal injury, and insurance law.
Mr. Hollis’ immigration practice covers a variety of matters, ranging from family and employment-related matters to asylum, naturalization and citizenship. He speaks Russian, has a working knowledge of French and German, and is now learning Polish. Mr. Hollis has assisted hundreds of clients from over 100 different countries with their immigration matters. He has lectured both nationally and internationally on various topics in U.S. immigration law.
In 2010, Mr. Hollis was named a Rising Star in the field of Immigration Law in Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine.
Mr. Hollis is also a highly-experienced personal injury attorney, who understands how to successfully negotiate with insurance companies. For the first fifteen years of his career, Mr. Hollis represented insurers such as Allstate in hundreds of personal injury cases. He served as lead counsel in dozens of cases throughout southwestern Ohio and northern Kentucky, achieving favorable results in the vast majority of them.
Mr. Hollis is a past President of the Cincinnati USA Sister Cities Association. He serves on the Board of the Cincinnati-Kharkiv Sister City Partnership, and the Advisory Board for Soteni International, an organization performing charitable work in Kenya.
Mr. Hollis is a Russia scholar, having lived, worked and studied in Moscow on multiple occasions. His favorite pastimes include international travel, reading (especially world history and classic literature), tennis, photography and classical music. Mr. Hollis resides in suburban Cincinnati with his wife Angelika, who is a native of Poland, their son Ian and daughter Natalie.
