Personal

     I was born in India and moved to the U.S. when I was two  years old. I grew up in the CIncinnati area and graduated from Lakota High School in 1986. I played varsity tennis in high school and joined the mock trial team in my sophomore year. I was the plaintiff's attorney each year and our mock trial team went to state finals every year I was on the team. Although the practice of law is not for everyone, I knew very early on that this was my passion. I have never regretted choosing law as my profession.  

Legal Training and Experience

     I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1989 with a double major in Management and Marketing and from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1992. While in Pittsburgh, I worked for Goldberg, Persky, Jennings & White from 1992 to 1993, focusing on Asbestos Litigation and Workers’ Compensation cases. In 1994, I joined Legal Aid in Missouri as part of their Americorp Project, where I helped develop and establish family mediation programs for child custody and visitation disputes for Legal Aid of Western Missouri. My duties there were to conduct training programs for community groups and students in peer mediation. I also represented victims of domestic violence in dissolutions and protection order hearings.
