I am a caring and compassionate advocate of the rights of the criminally accused, at both the trial and appellate levels. I am a fierce defender of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. My approach to serving clients is holistic. My loyalties are exclusively to my clients, and to the furtherance of the fair & equal administration of justice. I am a lawyer's lawyer, and someone you would trust with the handling of the affairs of those for whom your love is greatest....children, spouse, friends, and yourself.
My favorite book as well as my favorite movie is "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. I also admire "12 Angry Men," both the original and the revised version, a movie that documents the dynamics of jury decision-making.
I am fluent in the use of expert witnesses to suggest alernate ways to interpet the government's evidence, or to introduce completely different approaches to theories of culpability, and appropriateness of sentences that creatively rehabilitate behavior and treat underlying substance abuse or mental health issues.
I am a practitioner in all Ohio & Federal Courts, including the Supreme Court of Ohio & the United States Supreme Court. Every client is provided my cellular telephone number, and their families (with client permission) are kept in the loop. I think out of the box, I wear my heart on my sleeve, and my specialty is convincing juries that only they can determine culpability, not prosecutors or agents of law enforcement. My reputation with the judiciary is pristine, both as to personal integrity and as to competence in areas of specialty.

Client acquitted of aggravated murder, convicted of lesser charge. Sentence later reduced by Court of Appeals, after vigorous argument that new law justified merger of original sentences on related charges.
