An expert who is responsive, thorough and has impeccable character

My husband and I engaged with Douglas to complete a US B2 Visitor Visa, which was a difficult situation because my husband had been previously denied entry into the US. After 3 years and 2 visa applications on our own, it was clear we were stuck in the system and getting the visa would require a more... involved process. Douglas was recommended by a close friend as "the best immigration attorney" they'd ever worked with. From Day 1, Douglas provided us with undivided attention and careful/clear instruction, which lead us slowly and surely toward a visa being granted. This process involved engaging our Senator and carefully completing the application and conducting the interview. We felt 100% supported and confident throughout the process and it was (not to sound dramatic, but those who suffer from these visa situations can well understand) life-changing for my husband to be able to visit the US and meet my extended family and friends. I can't say enough good things about Douglas' work and his character.

Excellent and professional lawyer

Douglas helped my husband and I with my husbands immigration case this past year. Within a year the entire process was completed and my husband was given his permanent residency. I am very happy that we chose to work with Douglas as both he and his paralegal Debbie are very organized and detail o...riented. We did not have one hold up throughout the process and everything went very smoothly. I also want to mention that we were living outside of the US for the entire process but that Douglas and Debbie were constantly in contact with us through email and really helped to guides us through a normally stressful process.

"It is not by accident that Douglas is rated a perfect 10 by AVVO. His approach is detailed and thorough, and every case he assists on is given the full "belt and suspender" treatment. Of any immigration lawyer that I've met, his rates of approval are in a league of their own."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
