Rankin v. Pullen, 516 S.E.2d 501 (W.Va. 1999)
Jun 10, 1999OUTCOME: Summary Judgment Upheld
Rankin was injured while working at the Double O's Restaurant, a business that was located in a building owned by Pullen in downtown Charleston. Rankin filed suit against Pullen alleging that Pullen ha ... d failed to provide a reasonably safe place for Rankin to work. In this appeal, Rankin argued that the circuit court erred by finding as a matter of law that Pullen had not breached any duty of care to Rankin. The High Court ruled that the circuit court did not err in granting summary judgment for Pullen, Mr. Troy's client.
