Best foreclosure defense ever
We called McGookey Law office when our mortgage servicer started returning our mortgage payments & blocked us from getting a refinance. client on a foreclosure action
McGookey Law has been especially helpful in taking our personal needs and goals into account as we work towards a win on this action. When we've had questions about what is likely to happen as the next step or two, they've provided us simple explanations and likely timelines without making promises w...

Foreclosure Defender in name only
This lawyer touts that he is knowledgable about foreclosures when really all he does is take a retainer fee and do nothing. He uses the same boiler plate complaints for the majority of his cases and does nothing to actually help the homeowner. You are better off doing the legal work yourself than hir...
"I endorse this lawyer. As a result of both of our passions for saving our neighbors homes I have had an opportunity to meet with Dan on a number of occasion. He is very passionate about the area of Law and I believe is innovating defenses for homeowners based on the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) rules on Mortgage Servicing. I must say his passion is infectious. Dan gets results."
"Several years ago, Dan and I tried a case together. It was probably the most complex legal matter that I had ever been involved in during 30 years of my career. There were roughly 14 different lawyers involved in this claim,11 of them represented the various Defendants. Defense counsel were from all over Ohio and also from out of state. We litigated this matter to a verdict that was extremely favorable to our clients. Dan is an incredible intellect and an aggressive litigator. I would gladly have him on my side again. He was a pleasure to work with and our litigation styles complimented one another's skill sets so to get the best result possible for our clients. He is forward thinking and detail oriented. What more could anyone ask for from their legal representative."
"I have known Dan for many years. I've worked with him and also had Dan as "opposing Counsel" in matters. Dan has always zealously protected his clients interests, yet conduced himself with professional decorum."
"I am an attorney and business law professor in Washington State and learned about Dan McGookey via a national network of foreclosure defense attorneys. As author David Dayen writes in his book "Chain of Title", "Nobody goes to law school to learn about foreclosures." Yet your home is the biggest investment most people will make in their lifetime. Dan McGookey is one of the few trial attorneys who understands the complexities of foreclosure, securitization and defenses. Dan is a nationally recognized leader in foreclosure defense. I frequently call upon him for his perspective on constantly evolving foreclosure issues. Dan and his terrific staff have always been very professional and gracious. As a practicing attorney for over 30 years myself, I highly recommend Dan McGookey."
"I have known Attorney McGookey for over 15 years. He is a fellow lawyer in our town and I have always found him to be competent and a passionate advocate for his clients. I endorse Attorney Dan McGookey."
