Attorney Plakas has been named one of Ohio’s “Top 100” attorneys for the sixth consecutive year, as well as one of Ohio’s “Top 100” trial lawyers. Mr. Plakas has been certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy annually since 1998 and has also been recognized by the American Board of Trial Advocates since 2003, based upon peer evaluation by judges and attorneys, for his skills and accomplishments in the art of trial advocacy. Among many awards, Attorney Plakas has also won the highest verdicts in Stark County’s legal history in business litigation, employment harassment and nursing home negligence. His record of trial successes is unique in the broad spectrum of case-types in which he has won million dollar verdicts. His successes include a $14 million result against a hospital system for corrupt activities.
