As a client of attorney Weinchenk's, I must report that this attorney has been nothing but careless and reckless in regards to my case. I wish I had seen these reviews prior to moving forward with this attorney. I couldn't agree more with the previous reviews. She's terrible to try and contact. I wen...t to her office in Fairlawn, Ohio to try and get in touch with her. Instead, a tall gentlemen, with no social skills, informed me that she wasn't in the office at the time. That was, until, I watched attorney Weinchenk walk out of her office and into another. I looked at the man, instead of arguing my point, I left a message for Weinchenk to contact me. Over two weeks later, no response. I would never recommend this attorney to Anyone! That's the point of this review, I've never met another attorney with such neglect for their clientel. Upon hiring her, she seemed very nice and willfully motivated to take this case. However , after she secured our business, that's when the carelessness began. She'd explain the process of what was to come, and stuttered often, which was a little unnerving. After a couple phone calls, we never heard from her again, no messages, no updates, NOTHING. And we're still waiting for the trust of our deceased family member, some 15 months later. Upon mentioning her name to a family friend, a criminal defense attorney, we were informed of her reputation among many other legal professionas. Needless to say, if I had to do this over again, I would've picked a better attorney. PLEASE BEWARE of this attorney! I wouldn't recommend her to anyone!

If a zero star rating were possible, that's what I'd rate Ms. Weinschenk. Her unprofessionalism and rude treatment/behavior in regards to my case and me personally, is unacceptable. Upon requesting updates periodically from Ms. Weinschenk about a relative's will, she continuously circumnavigated from... answering any direct questions in the slightest of details. Upon speaking with other relatives who have also spoken to her, we came to discover that her stories and excuses began to contradict themselves. One month she'd claim something was completed and we were just awaiting further updates. Two months later she would inform us that she was working on the same issue she claimed was completed months before. Once I addressed this issue with Ms. Weinschenk, she became incredibly defensive and rude. And during a recorded 12 minute conversation with her, she still never answered my questions. She continued mumbling and stuttering over the same excuses repeatedly. In a nutshell, I wouldn't recommend Ms. Weinschenk's services or lack of experience to anybody! If you're in need of an estate planning or trust establishment, PLEASE save yourself the pain of knowing your loved one was taken advantage of before they passed and seek another attorney. Upon researching public records on my loved ones estate (probate court), we were able to find that Ms. Weinschenk hasn't performed any such efforts or docket entries in close to 3 months. We learned more in that 10 minutes of searching ourselves than we have in months attempting to receive answers from this horrible attorney. She continuously attempted to secure an appointment to discuss the matter, full aware that she would profit from the meeting as an hourly rate. This lady should be ashamed to claim that she helps the elderly. She's shown nothing but a lack of professionalism and care for her clients and their loved ones. Unless you want to be taken advantage of financially, I'd seek legal counsel elsewhere!

Barbara Weinschenk is one of the worst attorneys that I've ever had to deal with. She's the epitome of a scumbag attorney. First off, I don't know how her first and only review gave her so much praise. Could be someone she knows or could be an easier case than what my family and I have dealt with. Ei...ther way, I entirely disagree with the first review. Ms. Weinschenk is rude, horrible to get a hold of and if you're lucky enough to get her on the phone after 2-3 weeks of trying, she is horrible at explaining anything. In the 7 months it's taken her to drag out a case for her own gross profit, I've had the misfortune of speaking with her on 4 occasions. The first 3 were your typical BS excuses as to why NOTHING has been accomplished. However, upon speaking with other family members, we put together all the explanations (or lack thereof) and excuses given to us and come to find out, nothing added up. She's continuously lied and contradicted herself repeatedly. She told one family member and myself that the property in the trust was already processed and completed. Upon speaking with her two months later, she informed me that it has to go through probate. Yet she can't tell you the next step in her process. Likely, because she has no process. After researching the documents in probate court in Summt County under my deceased family members name, I learned more in 10 minutes than I did in the previous 6+ months trying to get a straightforward answer out of Barbara Weinschenk. We came to find out that she's only filed a few documents with the courts months prior and no actions have been taken since. She's a disgrace to the practice of law and gives Lawyers a terrible name. My advice to anyone seeking legal help, move on to a real experienced attorney and staying FAR AWAY from this fraudulent hack!

Mrs. Weinschenk went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me with family needs during one of the most difficult periods of my life. She is trustworthy, responds quickly with detailed/informed answers, and is extremely compassionate to every and all situations. Specifically, Mrs. Weinschenk a...ssisted my mother and I with estate planning and when that inevitable sad day came to pass, I was able to focus on the emotional and other needs of friends and family because Barb did such a great job with the initial planning. I highly endorse Barb and would both recommend and encourage everyone to procure her services for your legal needs.
