I strongly recommend anyone looking to retain an bankruptcy attorney to look elsewhere. Attorney Shugart was retained for a chapter 7 bankruptcy to file on my behalf. She assured me that all of my debts would be dismissed once the process was complete. It turns out she overlooked $8,000 on 1 of my ...debts that I now have to dispute . She was supposed to file an "adversary proceeding" on my behalf but failed to do so. I in fact brought this up to her after the bankruptcy. I called her in regards to this matter only be told that she would look into this and get back to me. It's been weeks now with no return phone call, in fact she's no longer picking up my call. Mind you she's been paid in full. Not to mention I'm on disability which the payment was a lot to me. I'm glad I contributed $$ to her Maserati so she can drive around in class. I will now leave a bad review anywhere I can on her business to include word of mouth. I will also file a consumer complaint with the Ohio attorney General Dave Yost. I will also file a grievance against an attorney with the ohio state bar association wich I've downloaded the form and I'm aware it can take up to 270 days to complete the process. I will also contact the Ohio board of professional conduct and make a report on her. I'm Marius and I hope this helps someone out from doing business with this unethical attorney Shugart.
