Alberto Nestico

Ohio personal injury lawyer Rob Nestico is a founding partner of Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR), one of Ohio's largest personal injury firms, and practices from the firm's Akron office in Fairlawn. His practice is devoted to representing injured people and their families in car, truck, and motorcycle accident cases, dog bite claims, wrongful death actions, insurance bad faith disputes, and class-action lawsuits.

Rob's commitment to injury victims is personal. At 15, he was seriously hurt in a head-on collision caused by a driver who failed to stop at an intersection. He spent three months in the hospital with injuries to both arms, one of which required a surgically implanted steel rod. During his recovery, his family experienced firsthand how insurance companies can take advantage of people at their most vulnerable, and that experience set him on the path to becoming a plaintiff's attorney.

Rob earned his Bachelor of Arts from York University in 1990 and a Specialized Honors degree in Political Science from York in 1992. He graduated cum laude and in the top five percent of his class from Touro Law School in New York in 1999, completing judicial internships with a state judge and a federal judge as a visiting student at The University of Akron. He began his career in insurance defense at Gallagher, Sharp, Fulton & Norman and Reminger & Reminger before moving to the plaintiff side in 2000. In 2005 he co-founded KNR with Gary Kisling and Robert Redick, and has helped grow the firm from three attorneys to more than 35 lawyers and over 100 support staff across Ohio.

Rob has tried cases to verdict and briefed matters before the Supreme Court of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He served as lead counsel for more than 200,000 claimants against Nationwide Insurance in VanHorn v. Nationwide Property and Casualty Insurance Company. He is a Life Member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, has been named to Ohio Super Lawyers in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022, was a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2009, and has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers. He is admitted in Ohio, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, and served on the Akron Bar Association's Certified Grievance Committee from 2008 to 2018.

A first-generation Italian-American whose parents are from Calabria, Italy, Rob is fluent in English, Italian, and French. He lives in Summit County with his wife and three children.
