This was a catastrophic injury case where Mr. Catron was working on a scissor lift. Due to a guard moving out of the way, Mr. Catron was pinned between the top of the scissor lift and the ceiling of an ... elevator. Mr. Catron received a very significant brain injury which left him permanently physically and mentally disabled. Atty McNeely was retained early in the case and, through a tremendous amount of investigation and hard work, was able to pursue claims against the owner of the scissor lift, the company where the scissor lift was being used to add responsibility for the maintenance of the scissor lift, as well as a general contractor who had retained the injured party and provided the scissor lift to them. A product liability claim was also pursued. The numerous defendants with the primary culpability settled early to provide much needed support and care the plaintiff.

The drunk driver had left the Hearthstone Restaurant only moments before the accident and, at the time of his death, had a blood alcohol of over two time the legal limits. Mr. Knecht received very serious and permanent physical injuries.

She was wearing a hat because her hair desperately needed to be done. Some overzealous security guards determinded that Mrs. Sutherlin must be a shoplifter and had her arrested for shoplifting. She eventually was strip searched twice on that unfortunate occasion. Criminal charges were brought, and she went to trial on the charges.
