Biography
Douglas Hunter has been an active trial and workers’ compensation lawyer in Ohio for over 20 years. His practice focuses on helping people injured in accidents or on the job to obtain full compensation for their losses and is deeply driven to help people when they need help the most. Throughout his 20-year career, Doug has successfully resolved hundreds of cases in favor of his clients.
He graduated from University of Toledo (B.S. 1997) and received his legal education at Ohio Northern University College of Law in Ada, Ohio (J.D. 2000). While at Ohio Northern, he was a member of the Law Review and earned the honor of graduating with distinction. After a brief period of representing employers in workers’ compensation disputes with their employees, Doug joined the firm of Hoffman Legal Group, LLC in June, 2001, where he has focused on representing individuals.
Doug has tried civil cases in several Ohio courts, has tried arbitrations and argued before several Ohio appellate courts. He has also represented parties before state and local administrative agencies, including the Industrial Commission of Ohio. He is member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association for Justice, and is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of Ohio and the United States District Court, Northern Division of Ohio.
