Very helpful

I applied for NIW in April 2014 thru JP's firm. It got approved in Dec. Subsequently, sought JP's assistance for AoS. Got approved in June 2015. Without his expertise it would not have been this quick and easy. Thanks JP and keep up the good work!

J1 waiver (IGA)

I would definitely recommend Mr JP Sarmiento if someone needs to handle an immigration related case, and definitely will use his service again, should it be needed. JP handled my case from the beginning. Communicated over e-mail only with no single problem or misunderstanding. Clearly answered for... all my questions regarding the case (was not charged for the initial e-mail consultation). Acts quickly and timely. Everything was done professionally and competently. Thank you.

Great legal representation.

After completing my education program, I was on the look out for a competent, trustworthy and friendly immigration lawyer/firm. After contacting some friends they recommended J.P Sarmiento Immigration Law firm. He offered me a free consult and then gave me a preview of what my case will entail. I ch...ose to retain his firm for my case and I could not have got a better deal. He was/is affordable and very detailed in the way he presented my case and needless to say my case was a success. Choose JP Sarmiento Law Firm any day for your immigration needs.

Exceptional attention, thought and care

Outstanding client orientation and service. I had an uncommon case and JP handled it with equally uncommon attention, thought and care. I am the president of a small business in the Philippines and wanted to set up an office of my company in the US. JP helped me figure out the best visa to get gi...ven my specific circumstances and business targets. Our company is too small to meet the investment and employment requirements of an investor visa so we decided to go for a relatively unorthodox route that involved registering a subsidiary of my company in the US and applying for an intracompany employee transfer to establish the new office. This involved a lot of pre-application work such as registering the company, setting up a bank account, securing an office, getting a tax ID, etc. --- JP guided me through all of it. The application itself was presented very well and properly highlighted the points of our case. JP and his associates are also fast. Every time I emailed anyone in his firm a question I got a thorough answer in less than 12 hours --- and that's because I live in Manila. I'm sure clients in the US get answers almost instantly. That's a sure indicator or how dedicated Sarmiento Immigration is to its clients. And when it came to putting together the applications (we submitted a follow up to the initial one), JP had detailed and well-written cases within a couple of days of my giving them all the exhibits that they asked for. JP obviously has a great understanding of what the USCIS looks for in applications and our visa approval is testament to their effectiveness. We got our visas but even if we did not I would still give JP and his firm 5 stars for its exceptional client attention. If you want your lawyer to put their heart into your application and make you feel like your case is as important to him as it is to you then JP Sarmiento is the guy to work with.

J1 Waiver Approval

I will always be grateful for Atty. Sarmiento for helping me to get my J1 No Objection Waiver. All through out the process , He gave me a clear advise with no false promises. He is prompt to respond to my inquiries, and I was surprised that even during weekends he would reply to my e mails. The lega...l fee is also cheap, it is cheaper compared with what the paralegals in Los Angeles are charging. Let me give a background of my case for whoever is reading this can get a small nuggets of information. I came here in the United States 2007 with a J1 Visa with a two years home residency requirement. After leaving my training sponsor 2008, I decided to stay and be out of legal status. I stayed in California and had consultations with different lawyers. I spent a lot of money seeking for the right legal representation, but to my frustration, Im advise that my case is impossible to apply for a No Objection Waiver. Since 2008, I have to deal with the reality that Im Staying here in the US without legal authorization to work and im leaving a life of modern slavery, I have to accept whatever jobs that are available being paid less and working more hours just to get by. I got married 2012 to a US citizen. My husband applied for a I 130 Petition for me July 2014 and it was approved August 2014. With an approved petition, I was advised to apply for a visa in my home country, Philippines, and ones get approved we will file for a Hardship Waiver (confusing and complicated???) While waiting for my I 824 approval , a friend recommended Atty. Sarmiento, it was hard to trust at first because I did not meet him in person, Atty Sarmiento is from Ohio and Im in California. All i can rely to are excellent reviews in the internet. After retaining Atty. Sarmiento as my legal representative December 2014, I eventually received an approval of No Objection Waiver for my J1 visa May 2015. Bravo to an excellent job Atty. Sarmiento.
