If you’re subject to the 2 year requirement, it’s better to get a waiver before you file for adjustment.

After the divorce, file an I-751 with a waiver of the joint filing requirement. Include bona fides up to the time of divorce / separation.

Sometimes they don’t update the online system despite you submitting the response to RFE. Try calling the 1800 number.
