If there’s an RFE, the petitioner and lawyer should get it. So check with them. If they haven’t received it, they should follow up with CIS.

Did you get a new I-20 for continuation of your F-1? If so, it is continued. If there’s a gap, then you have to do an F-1 reinstatement.
