Mr. Hough served as GAL in a recent custody case. He was appointed by the court to act in the best interest of the child involved. He did not understand the specifics of the case (initial determination vs modification due to abuse/neglect). He refused on several occasions to share information with the plaintiff and respond to plaintiff's counsel. His own records indicate a very clear bias toward one parent - minutes of communication were documented relative to the plaintiff, while hours and hours of communication were documented relative to the defendent in the case. He even went so far as to provide false testimony while under oath. This individual is truly not competent to serve in this capacity.

"I endorse this lawyer. In my experience with Troy Hough on several matters, he is an intelligent and thorough attorney and Guardian. He sees both sides and acts in the best interest of the child. It is unfortunate that some cases require more communication with one side or the other. Investigations lead where investigations lead and in every situation, one parent is upset about the outcome. In the role as Guardian you will never make both parties happy. Each parent has an agenda and it is sad to see parents fight and work against each other rather than for the child. Troy Hough has the courage to do what he thinks is right, not what the parents demand."
