If there was a fraud on the court that resulted in the judgment then you should be able to get the judgment vacated. best to hire a lawyer though.

Check the docket carefully. If case was dismissed then it's over, at least for now.

Yes, the plaintiff can get a judgment against you if s/he proves his/her case.

It's a matter of cost. The important thing is not to worry so much about who serves. Pick a method and get it done.

You can of course oppose the motion, pointing out all the reasons why the motion should be denied. It will be up to the judge.
