When you trust a lawyer to represent your most important life interests, it's good to know what he or she believes about practicing family law. This is what I believe:
1. Clients should be able to participate in the resolution of their own issues, in
all meetings and conferences, to the extent that the law, the court, and ethical
practice permit. That is how you truly get your day in court.
2. Every client deserves a strong advocate for his or her reasonable interests and
a good advisor to understand what those interests are in the framework of the
law. That is why you hire a lawyer.
3. Every client deserves a lawyer dedicated to resolving issues without resorting
to drawn-out and expensive legal proceedings. The goal is to solve problems
and help you get to your future, not promote issues that keep conflicts alive.
My practice is entirely dedicated to family law: prenuptial agreements, dissolution, divorce, separation agreements, child custody, child support, spousal support and property division and pension division in divorce. My particular interest is helping people who are concerned about children and divorce, especially special needs children. And I bring to clients who need it many years' experience in pension law, including pension valuation and pension benefits division in divorce and qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs).
It's also good to know that a lawyer will go far to represent you. My practice is based in Cuyahoga County but I represent clients in surrounding counties, especially in communities to the east such as Warren and Ashtabula.

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
Probation means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
