I was very disappointed and would definitely not recommend this lawyer. I found Ms. Carlisle-Kesling on this website because I was looking for an attorney located close to my mother's home who could help with a real estate/estate planning issue. One of my brothers scheduled the appointment during a w...eek when I planned to be in town. The receptionist showed us into a room, and she asked us a lot of detailed questions about the situation and then told us her opinion about how we should proceed. Then she told us we would be meeting with John Gill, rather than Ms. Carlisle-Kesling. We told Mr. Gill that we wanted to know about the pros and cons of various options to facilitate the transfer of property from my mother to my brothers and me. Mr. Gill did not seem to have any knowledge of estate planning and very little understanding of real estate law. He told us he often confused Medicare with Medicaid, and then he did so throughout our conversation. He also did not seem to understand how the Homestead Exemption works. He recommended that we call an accountant and my mom's bank for advice. When we asked about setting up a trust, he rather condescendingly said that was only for wealthy people. It was a very frustrating conversation, and not at all helpful. As we left, the receptionist told us it would cost $50 for the appointment, even though this website states that the consultation is free. Even worse than the waste of a small amount of money, though, was the complete waste of our time.
