My passion is two-prong: business and the law.  In solving clients' legal issues, I strive to approach these issues with a pragmatic business mind. My 20+ years of international business experience help me to understand my clients' issues from a unique perspective.  As a French native speaker, I can also assist clients in contract negotiations and dispute resolution in French when translation is necessary.

HEALTHCARE LAW

My practice focuses on assisting health care providers to navigate the complexities of health care regulations, including the Affordable Care Act (“ObamaCare”).  Our clients include individual providers, physician groups, hospitals, neurology centers, orthopaedic centers, eye centers, dialysis centers, behavioral health facilities, ICF/IIDs, etc.

Imbedded in the Health Care Practice at Brouse McDowell, I analyze physician/hospital integration models for compliance with Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA issues, Medicare/Medicaid compliance issues, medical staff issues, telemedicine, etc.  I draft, review and negotiate a variety of legal documents including hospital medical bylaws, employment agreements, personal services agreements, medical director agreements, lease agreements, operating agreements, code of regulations, policies, etc. 

IMMIGRATION

My immigration practice primarily focuses on employment-based immigration for medical professionals, scientists, engineers, business executives and researchers in the areas of health care, biotech, education, retail and manufacturing. I represent petitioners such as hospitals, universities, small and large manufacturers, large retailers, and individuals.

PRO-BONO ACTIVITIES

My pro-bono work involves helping ex-offenders with sealing criminal records (expungements) and/or obtaining a Certificate of Qualification of Employment (CQE).
