I don't practice in Texas, but typically adjudication is the trial and the place to fight this. Talk to your lawyer.

It may be worth it to pay the ticket or try the case yourself. Attorneys cannot really quote prices on here, but those do not sound bad.

Have your lawyer contact them. What type of case is it? If it is just a shop lifting, it is unlikely that they will file suit.
