We are a mid-size trucking company in NE Ohio. We had a few drivers get into a sticky situation in downtown Cleveland. The fine and appearance in court was going to be detrimental to our company. I hired Attorney Brockler in 2018 for police traffic stop that turned into a search and seizure of my car my son was driving. They found a gun in the glove compartment my son had purchased for me for protection. Our lives were being threatened my home shot up, it was all documented on record. We wer...e moving our valuables out the house that day, but I forgot to remove the gun and there went our lives. We were told by Mr. Brockler on the case no probation no jail time and nothing on record you will walk with a fine he asked us to plea to the charges I trusted him and as much as my son told me to get another lawyer and we kept Insinuating we did nothing wrong I had every confidence Brockler had our best interest at heart. What happened to my son should never happen to anyone. We were lied to and misrepresented! My son was not a Criminal he was a Ohio State Realtor but by the time this case was over he had been Drug through the mud. He lost his license, put on probation for 18 months, forced through drug treatment programs one after the other, Fined and a felon later dismissed to a Misdemeanor 1. But still a criminal on paper. We were never given discovery even though we continually demanded it. He didn’t stand for us on sentencing day he let the judge Humiliate my son he never said judge but he’s a first offender nothing. I was on crutches that day Stranded he asked me to walk out the court room. I said get my son out of jail now, he said if you need anything call me and he left he stopped answering his phone and the next thing I knew he had left the country. I wrestled writing this review I didn’t want. To further tarnish his Reputation but I didn’t want next person to have to learn my lesson. You can’t become to Familiar with a lawyer you have paid to represent you he is not your friend he will always be a lawyer for hirer. Just because a lawyer has a license to practice doesn’t mean he should be practicing law! Our case ended in October 2020.
