I hired Jackie 18 months ago to handle my divorce for a very short marriage of 5 months I was in. It took Jackie 17 months to finally get it done. Very little communication with her, actually never met her in person. She was great and gung-ho at the beginning but 17k later she was non existent. S...he would not return my calls or emails until the last minute before court hearings. My retainer was never returned to me and I had to hire another attorney to get that back even though Jackie said she tried to return it but had ever excuse in the books as why the wire, the transfer never happened. She then just ghosted me when I asked for my retainer that she admitted was owed back to me. I emailed and called her mulitple times for over a month after my final hearing took place to get my retainer back from her. Finally just hired another attorney to handle it. Had to call the courts myself to get my documentation for my divorce and had to call my ex husbands attorney to get the quick claim deed for the house we owned for a month during the course of our marriage because she would not respond to anything. Your better off being your own lawyer instead of hiring her

Had many conversations, about $13.000 in the interests shifted, promises made but just nothing happened. No return messages, unanswered calls. I certainly did my part getting affidavits and depositions, now I had to check the docket on the status of my case (I am being sued by Commutair , they think ...I owe them money) It looks like it stopped in thin air. It leaves me hanging and feeling quite exposed.
