Sheila Ann Duffy

Attorney Sheila A. Duffy concentrates her practice in the area of family law. Sheila is a professionally trained mediator for family and divorce mediation. She is the founder of Duffy & Associates Mediation Services and has been active in the field of mediation since 1996. Sheila has successfully mediated several hundred divorce mediation cases and is listed as a Senior Mediator on . 

Sheila was admitted to the practice of law in Ohio in 1986. She attended law school while working full time as a speech language pathologist with individuals who were developmentally delayed. In addition to her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Cleveland Marshall School of Law Sheila also holds a masters degree (M.A.) in Speech Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. 

Throughout her career as an attorney Sheila has represented clients in dissolutions, divorces, as well as post-decree disputes regarding child custody and visitation. Sheila is a member of the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court Panel of Mediators and a Guardian ad Litem for the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court. As a Guardian ad Litem Sheila represented the rights of otherwise unrepresented children in high conflict divorces. She is a member of both the Center for Principled Family Advocacy and the Mediation Association of Northeast Ohio. Sheila has also been a trainer for the American Center For Conflict Resolution Institute. Sheila has completed Collaborative Law training and has served as a member of the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court’s Mediation Task Force.
