Rude tone but knowledgeable nonetheless

This man is knowledgable and to the point but considering I am in the process of comparing lawyers and 3 others think I have a case he was very very quick to judge and determine he did not want to work with me. He interrupted me when I was trying to tell the entire story (which 2 of the other lawyers... didnt think I had a case until I finished explaining everything) and that honestly stuck me as beyond unprofessional as he told me that I was interrupting him when I was simply trying to tell him the actual fact then he would say something in a very demeaning tone and as a man who doesnt trust men typically he reminded me very much of the step father who beat me so I cannot honestly tell you guys if he is a good lawyer. It was beyond clear that when I shared something that is public record with him that he immediately changed the tone of his voice, seemed to become smug and I felt I spent more time fearing what I thought when hearing that tone in every sentence than I spent going over everything that happened and a large corporation worth billions of dollars most certainly has all the documentation he claimed I should have. Had he spoke with me the entire time the way he sounded the first few minutes of the call this would be a much different review. I suggest if you have ever been through recovery do not even bother speaking to this man. Very unprofessional and doesnt know the money he lost. There was even a point I made it pretty clear cost wasn't an issue, but principal was. He was more worried about how much time was left on the call than the fact I feel so strongly about the issues that clearly I am going to hire an attorney. Although not all were addressed about 70% were. Call it weak if you want but someone fatherless that doesnt have good experiences with men generally and tried to make that very clear as early on as possible which generally people pick up on and avoid such harsh tones. I even used a hate slur that people are fired for saying while quoting someone and the man's reply was "so what" As an attorney I cannot give an opinion but as a person I can tell you this is a very rude and unprofessional man whom expects you to share his VIEWS not the law. Clearly this man lost money here as i did not decide to continue the call and hung up the moment he didnt even ask if I wanted to pay to continue talking. If your a 'man's man' and wish we still lived in the 50s and equal rights werent a protected class than I assure you this is your man! If you want to be treated with dignity and not cut off interrupted and made feel small and insulted than I suggest looking elsewhere. This is the first time I've left a review for an attorney and it's funny to me that 4 defamation lawyers are interested in my case but 2ithin I'd say 4 min after I mentioned recovery it was clear he wasnt looking for a client he was looking to shame me and ensure he wouldnt have to speak with someone who is I'm recovery (again of course you shop around attorneys as with anything in life or else you never save money)

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
