Attorney George N. Wukovich is licensed to practice before all Federal and State courts and agencies exercising jurisdiction within the State of Ohio. Since 1985, he has been in private practice and successfully represents the interests of individuals, families and small businesses in the broad and complicated areas of: Civil, Criminal and Appellate Litigation; Administrative Law; Commercial and Residential Real Estate; Business Planning; and, Estate Planning and Probate; as a small firm litigation associate (1985-1997) and as a sole practitioner in personal and commercial trial practice (1997-present).
In addition to his legal practice, Grand Master Wukovich currently serves as Director and Past President of the United States Taekwondo Won (USTW), an Ohio Not for Profit corporation and 501(c)(3) Public Charity (go to ). He has merged his skills as an Attorney and as a Grand Master Instructor, by: helping to develop and preserve a “blended” program of traditional martial arts training systems (Taekwondo, Judo & Hapkido) known as the United Martial Arts Black Belt Association (UMBA) founded by the late Grand Master Kim Myung Hwan; and, founding a “traditional” program of martial arts teaching and marketing systems, known as the Korean Martial Arts Society (KMAS), through which several affiliated schools now operate. In 2002, Grand Master Wukovich designed the USTW Instructor’s Certification Seminar program protocols, after which he was appointed to serve as USTW National Legal Counsel. In 2003, he was appointed to serve as the National Program Director for the 1st USTW Instructor’s Certification Seminar. In 2004, the Honorable Bob Wise, then Governor of the State of West Virginia, presented Grand Master Wukovich with a Certificate of Recognition for his outstanding dedication and service to the USTW, after which Grand Master Wukovich was appointed to serve as the USTW National Event Coordinator.
In 2005, Grand Master Wukovich was appointed to serve as Chair of the USTW Instructor Certification Committee. In 2006, he was elected to serve the USTW as a corporate Director and Vice President. He was also appointed to serve as the National Program Director for the 4th USTW Instructor’s Certification Seminar after which USTW President Sok Ho Kang presented Grand Master Wukovich with a Certificate of Recognition for his outstanding dedication and service to the USTW. In 2007, Grand Master Wukovich was elected to serve the USTW as a corporate Director and President. In 2009, in addition to serving as a USTW Director and Past President, he was appointed to serve as Co-Chair of the USTW Supreme Promotion Board and elected to serve as Chair of the USTW Nominations and Elections Committee. On November 14, 2014, Grand Master Wukovich was test-graded and certified as an Eighth Degree (8th Dan) Black Belt and Grand Master Instructor by the USTW. He continues to serve as: Chair of the USTW Nominations and Elections Committee; a USTW Director; and, USTW Past President. Grand Master Wukovich also serves as Chair of the USTW Supreme Promotion Board and is a member of several other USTW standing committees.
In 1985, Grand Master Wukovich graduated from the Case Western Reserve School of Law. During his Law School years, Grand Master Wukovich engaged in professional work experience, including: Legal Intern; Rental Agent and Custodian; and, Legal Instrument Locator and Corporate Researcher. In 1982, Grand Master Wukovich graduated, cum laude, from Miami University of Ohio. 1979, while attending Miami University, he founded the first UMBA-KMAS program as a UMBA First Degree (1st Dan) Black Belt Instructor. During his undergraduate years, his work experience included: Resident Assistant and Student Assistant for the Office of Residence Life of Miami University; Intake Officer Internship with the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court; Machinist with the International Machinists and Aeronautical Workers Union (IMAWU); and, Laborer for a bricklayer and cement finisher. In 1977, Grand Master Wukovich graduated from North Olmsted Senior High School as: the Top Scholar; the Salutatorian; the Year Book Editor; and, having been voted “Most Likely to Succeed” by his Senior Class. Grand Master Wukovich is also currently a member of: Phi Beta Kappa; Psi Chi; Omicron Delta Kappa; Phi Eta Sigma; the International Thespian Society; and, the National Eagle Scout Association. In 1975, while in High School, Grand Master Wukovich began the first 25 years of his martial arts training under the UMBA system Founder and Grand Master Kim Myung Hwan, who died in 2000. Grand Master Wukovich now lives with his wife, Cheryl, and their family, in North Olmsted, Ohio.
