Biography
My practice concentrates in the areas of real estate, business representation and construction law.
I provide practical business advice and am focused upon real, working solutions to legal challenges. I am a U.S. Navy Veteran, former nuclear reactor operator serving on a fast-attack submarine. I served my community on City Council for over ten years. I am married with children and enjoy my family time. In my spare time, I am the lead singer in a rock cover band.
I have a liberal arts education coupled with highly technical and scientific training and experience, allowing me to communicate well with just about everyone. I enjoy solving legal problems and finding solutions to legal challenges.

Horvath v. Lawyers Title Ins. Corp., 2013-Ohio-1295
Summary judgment for the title insurance company was affirmed. There was no evidence in the record to support a finding of bad faith. Court also found that escrow functions are outside of the scope of agency for a title insurance agency agreement.
Albert M. Higley Co. v. N/S Corp., 445 F.3d 861, 863 (6th Cir. 2006)
This case upheld the right of a party to a construction contract to reserve sole discretion whether to proceed with arbitration or litigation.
