divorce attorney

When he took my case, he seemed like he would try to get a fair deal for me. He did everything that my x's lawyer wanted, although they never cooperated. I had to keep getting the same information from banks. It was all about the money, my money. He did his work getting all my information, howeve...r, he never pushed the other lawyer to get their information together. He assured me that judges don't like the cougar type lawyers, they would rather deal with quiet, & composed ones. In the end he had no opening statement, and never put my x on the stand. Instead, he agreed to most everything they put before him, then made it look like it was good for me. It was a very emotional time for me, I thought I could trust him to do what was in my best interest. I was to trusting, he threw me to the wolves. They led him around like a little puppy. Basically, I got nothing, he didn't fight for them to split our possessions evenly, m x stole alot of money from me and I didn't see a dime. I got sentimental stuff. Not shared parenting or anything,

This review has been posted for quite some time. I see it now and then and it bothers me. A response is long, long overdue. This person does not disclose a name or a court so the reader can check public records and see what happened. The court's docket shows a contentious divorce case ultimately settled by agreement of the parties after trial had begun. This case was fought long and hard. The docket shows the court ordering the other side to produce the information referenced in the review. But the person did not mention that. The person also did not disclose the facts that posed serious problems in this case. These facts may have led to an agreement the person thought was better than what the court was very likely to do. The person has not mentioned these facts to you, and there is probably a reason for that. Ethical rules prevent me from disclosing these facts. Its great to remain anonymous, isn't it. Robert C. Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
