7-month pregnant employee was fired by her employer after 6 years of employment, just hours after opposing her unfair treatment at the hands of her employer. The employer even tried to deny her unemplo ... yment benefits by claiming various issues with her performance, despite her stellar performance reviews and the employer's testimony that her performance had not changed. I took the case before Judge Richard D. Bennett in the Federal District Court in Baltimore Maryland. Judge Bennett denied summary judgment to the Defendant and ordered that the case proceed to trial on her pregnancy discrimination and retaliation claims. This was a big victory for Ms. Saah, who would otherwise have had no other recourse against her employer.
