Have hired Christine Smith a couple of times, she is always very through and extremely professional. I plan to use her again for any future legal needs.
With over a decade of legal experience, Attorney Christine Smith focuses her practice primarily on family law and divorce cases. She joined her father, Gary Smith’s, firm in 2008 to create Smith & Smith Law Office LLC, Lucas County’s premier family law firm. Amazing representation.
She treated my case as if it were her own. I couldn't ask for more professional service than I got. And everything worked out in my best interests.

Professional advice
I called 4 offices in Swanton, OH to find a lawyer to fight my speeding ticket. I left messages with secretaries. And out of 4 lawyers, only Christine called me back. Within a 2 hour period.
Even though I didn't hire her, she gave me her professional advice.
It was a really pleasant and friendly conversation between us.
She is a very competent lawyer. I highly recommend.

Thank you for the review, Oksana! Tickets are sometimes best to be paid and not seek further legal representation and action. I feel that happy and well informed clients are better than false promises to get money.

Detailed and Understanding Attorney
Christine represented me in my custody case for my 4 year old. I was having difficulty with my son's mother and Christine was able to modify my custody Order so that I saw my son consistently, and filed an aggressive Motion against my Ex when she was not following the agreement. She answered my emails and phone calls usually the same day and worked with me on a payment plan throughout representation. She was very prepared, patient and caring. I have recommended her to my brother who is in a similar boat.

Christine made me so comfortable in this crazy experience!
Christine represented me in my divorce. My husband and I decided to divorce using collaborative law after Christine suggested an alternative divorce method, and I am so glad we did. We were able to come to a complete agreement after only three meetings and only had to go to Court once. Christine explained everything very clearly, and answered every one of my phone and email messages, and even answered my texts! I would highly recommend Christine and the collaborative process.

Never Again
Christine was very helpful and attentive until she received my retainer, then things fell apart. She was repeatedly unprepared for our meetings and offered zero advice on how to negotiate a settlement with my ex. Basically she filed paperwork and I was on my own for the rest. On our final court date I had several questions about the divorce decree that had been prepared by opposing counsel, but she arrived at court (late) and had not even read the document herself yet. I felt pressured to settle on terms I wasn't happy with in order to avoid a lengthy trial and thousands in additional legal fees. I would never use her again nor recommend her to anyone.

I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with my legal services, but your experience does not reflect my procedure of practicing law.
First, I start with a retainer, specifically discussed prior to any representation. I offer a free phone consultation and one office consultation for a flat $75 fee. If you are dissatisfied with my representation, you may contact me 24/7 on text, email, or phone call to address your concern.
Second, I personally compose every divorce decree. I am very particular with my client's decree as I believe in being extremely thorough to help my clients avoid future litigation.
I would NEVER finalize a divorce decree without having the decree at least a week prior to the final hearing and discussing the document with my client either in a phone or office consultation (whichever works best for the client). Therefore, I have NEVER been to a final hearing without reading a proposed decree.
Feel free to call my office to discuss a resolution. I strive to have happy and well informed clients.
