Roger Warren Hafford

I hired Roger for a DUI I got. I didn't have any priors, and really never been in trouble before. He was on the cheaper end of lawyers, and it's certainly true that you get what you pay for. He will do the bare minimum for you. He will NOT fight for you or go above and beyond. He will convince you to... plead guilty for a "lesser" punishment. Although I know people who got 1 DUI and had a better outcome than me without even hiring a lawyer. Don't waste your money on this guy! I didn't even meet him until the day of my court case, which he was very late for! Fremont municipal court told me he is known for always being late. I do NOT recommend!

I retained Roger years ago & he had a lot of great talk but failed to walk the walk. He constantly took personal calls during our scheduled appointments then billed me for the time, smoked liked a chimney even though he knew it offended me, made me feel very uncomfortable as if he were hitting on me ...BUT wait the best part was on the biggest day of my custody hearing HE FAILED TO SHOW UP! He claimed it was a scheduling error even though at the prior hearing the Judge had both attorneys call their offices to find available dates. I had to represent myself pro se with the help of my daughter's guardian ad litem and the children's service attorney appointed to her case and when I called Roger's office to find out where he was the best advice he could give me was " go in and ask the Judge for an extension"! because of his poor organizational skills. He never had a clue what was going on from hearing to hearing, he then tried to bill me past the time the dockets clearly show I represented myself pro se and he was removed from even being my attorney...If you want an attorney that will feed you a lot of stories, bill you for fictitious time he's your guy. If you want a real good attorney I would recommend that you keep looking...

We know a lot of people in Fremont who referred us to Attorneys in the area but no one handled our type of case. We were passed around and ended up here. Believed he could handle and hired him. He was unavailable over a month and this was in a 2 month period. Billed for calls that he never made,... did not follow up with anyone and took a retainer and dropped the ball completely. Even after speaking with him and expressing complaints he never followed up. Never heard from again. Received 3 monthly statements all at one time wiping out 1000.00 Definitely the stereo type definition of what people say negative about attorneys.

Mr hafford is a amazing custody lawyer he stayed in contact with me, he really cared for what was best for my son and is very down to earth he doesnt act like he is better then you, i felt as if i could tell him anything. He keeps everything real no lies or doesnt give false hope. He is worth every... penny.
